Bijoux by Bari J. Launch Party

Welcome! Pull up a cozy over sized pillow, and sip on some strawberry lemonade. I'm so happy to have you here to take a little peek at Bari J.'s new fabric line, Bijoux. If you haven't met Bijoux yet, skip on over and visit Bari J., where she tells Bijoux's story.

When Bijoux cruised in to my house, my sweet Nora pointed at each design, and requested a dress of her own, made from each one. A request like that can take some time, and a little planning. Before getting started on something for her, I planned out something just for me. Shocking, right?! We don't always take the time out to make something for ourselves, but Bijoux beckoned, and I answered.

The front, complete with a button in Bijoux fashion.
I picked up a lovely little book called Bags: The Modern Classics, and discovered the Betty Wallet, and knew it would be perfect for showing off Bijoux. I adore so many of the designs of Bijoux, and love how the patchwork shows off many of them.

The back. Almost as pretty as the front.
Bijoux made this wallet even more beautiful than I had imagined. And I love the artsy-gypsy vibe. It makes me feel a bit sassy, and like dancing barefoot to really loud music (80's all the way!!).

I'm in love with the butterflies!
I did manage to make a lovely skirt for Nora with the Addie Jo pattern by Izzy & Ivy. Nora picked out Divine Gypsy in Ivory for the first piece of her Bijoux wardrobe. I think that if Bijoux had her own daughter, or a cute little niece, she would look a lot like Nora. Nora is also a bit of a loner, artsy, and loves any and all jewelry. She's a little hippie-gypsy at heart. Just check out her choice of boots, and the cute little shirt she picked out to match her skirt.

Rockin' the pink suede boots.
Several times, I attempted to have a "photo shoot" with Nora and her Bijoux skirt, but she's 3, and proved it to me over and over again.

Twirling
Nora adores this skirt and the way it twirls. Bijoux by Bari J. is the perfect twirling fabric. It's so soft, has a lot of movement, and flows in the wind.

I had the extreme honor of working on one of Bari J.'s quilts, out of her new line, and love how it turned out. It's actually a pretty special quilt for me, because it's the first quilt that both my mom and I quilted. I hope I get visitation rights, if Melanie doesn't steal it first. ;)

As you may know, Bijoux has started shipping to stores, so soon, you'll be able to add a little bit of her to your life. But right now, this very moment, you can enter to win a giveaway! 18. Oh I am so happy to discover your blog!! (not sure how I missed it so far) - I had a great pleasure of taking one of your mom's classes and showing her around a bit, here in Buffalo, NY (Niagara Falls!). I loved that quilt when I saw it first time, but now that I know it was quilted by both you and your mom - it is indeed special! :)
Bijoux is just spectacular and I first thought of all kinds of quilts, but have to say that Nora's skirt inspired me to make few like that too!! Oh and maybe a little frilly sun-hat to go with the skirt? I bet Nora will think of that next! :)
Thanks for the great giveaway and I am happy to have found your lovely blog! (and FB page, and Pinterest...)
